Importance of Project Schedules

Project schedule is basically a list of project’s terminal elements that intends starts and finish dates. Terminal elements are considered as in term of resources requirements, budget, time dead lines etc. Project schedule is a basic step in accomplishing the project. When a project is to be created, project manager is responsible to design Work Breakdown Schedule (WBS). All the activities of project are divided according to the nature of activity. Setting up a schedule will allow the project management team to create a systematic time frame which will let them complete the project timely and within available resources.
Project schedule is generally created by project manager before starting of a project. The type and size of project schedule depends on the requirements of the project as when it should be completed, where from material will be purchased, how much the labor is required for a particular project, when the performance evaluation will being done etc. The design and format of project is as important as its contents and elements.
